House of Lu: Reviews & Ratings
This humble little Chinese restaurant never disappoints.
Everyone is always so kind and service is fast and delicious!
Have never had a bad experience! We eat here on a weekly basis whether it’s takeout or dine in. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable about their menu. They are frequently open to answer and questions! The atmosphere is perfect and the music is never too loud. The food is always consistent, hot, and brought out quickly! I would recommended this to everyone ever. It’s the exact type of Chinese food that satisfies my childhood soul.
The food here is very good and convenient, there are two ladies and I’m not for sure if she is the owner and there is a younger young lady, but there attitude is horrible. They cut you off before you can finish what you’re saying. They are very rude on the phone. The youngest female that works up front is very rude. No thank you quickly repeats your order with an attitude. Doesn’t let you get all your information out and if she listens, she could get things correct the first go round. Again good food but two of the ladies need to adjust their behavior. A little patience and kindness goes a long way in this type of business. I would usually take my business elsewhere because I’m one that will spend my money where it’s not appreciated but it’s so convenient and again the food is very tasty
Food was mediocre. It's not very good for the price. Spent 50 plus tip for 2 meals. There are much better options for that price.
I ordered the egg drop soup. It was delicious! I also loved the chips that came with the dish. I took my dish to go and the service was great. I am a vegetarian. The only problem I had was there were not many options for vegans and vegetarians. The soup was the only vegetarian dish that I could find on the menu. Hopefully, in the future they will have a more larger variety of options.
I've been here several times over the year pre & post COVID the food has been consistently good. It's not best in the state but certainly the best in this area. as someone who has had Chinese food up and down the east coast this place is pretty good. I've seen people complain about the service with the same dumb complaints of loudness, yelling or rushing by thr waitress but that is the same in all Chinese restaurants everywhere. This is part of their culture and how they speak. The restaurant seems very clean and so does the rest room. The only thing that sconces me is the reptile place next door that sells bugs and all kinds of stuff. The prices are not bad and the food is pretty good. I'll keep going here as long as I live in this area.
